Technical Summer Camp 

Sheridan Technical College is proud to host the first year of Technical Summer Camp in both culinary arts and coding. There are three summer camps being offered: Middle School Culinary Arts Camp, High School Culinary Arts Camp, and a Code Camp for both middle and high school students. Middle School Culinary Arts Camp

Dates:                   June 12 – July 7

Cost:                      352.00

Hours:                   8 A.M. to 2P.M.

Location:              Sheridan Technical High School

                             3775 SW 16th Street

                              Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312

Do you know a child between the ages of 13 and 14 who loves to cook or bake?  For a few weeks, students that have interest in culinary arts have an opportunity to learn to cook in a professional kitchen with some of Sheridan Tech Culinary instructors who are top in the industry.  The students will participate in hands-on Culinary/Pastry classes. The class will cover food safety, sanitation, nutrition, and recipes.

Camp Essentials:

Who Can Attend? Broward County Public Schools Student in Grades 7,8

 Camp Size: 30 students per camp (maximum). First-come, first-served basis.

What is included? Students will receive a STC apron.

 What do I need to bring? Students should dress with safety and comfort in mind. That means closed-toe shoes, long hair pulled back, and no loose clothing or jewelry.

 Transportation? Students are required to find their own means of transportation.

Registration?You can register for the camp at Sheridan Technical College at 5400 Sheridan Street Hollywood, Florida 33021 during the hours of 7 A.M. to 7 P.M. Monday through Thursday. Code Camp

Dates:                   June 19 – July 25

Cost:                      352.00

Hours:                   8 A.M. to 12 P.M.

Location:              Sheridan Technical High School

                             3775 SW 16th Street

                             Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312

Do you know a child who loves technology and has an interest in coding?  For a few weeks, students that have interest in coding have an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of computer programming by creating real world games led by Sheridan Tech instructors.  The students will participate in hands-on labs while working in teams to make puzzle based games. The class will cover data structures, code syntax, loops, and algorithms.

Camp Essentials:

Who Can Attend? Broward County Public Schools Student in Grades 7-8 or 11-12

 Camp Size: 30 students per camp (maximum). First-come, first-served basis.
