Mazda MAST

Mazda MAST -00 hrs

The Mazda Automotive Student Training (MAST) Program is a two-year training program designed to prepare students for careers as professional automotive technicians. This program is offered in partnership with Mazda North American Operations and local Mazda dealerships and combines classroom instruction with paid, hands-on dealership experience under the guidance of Master Technicians. Students gain advanced mechanical skills and in-depth knowledge of Mazda’s innovative technologies, including SKYACTIV® engines, i-ACTIVSENSE® safety systems, and the MAZDA CONNECT™ infotainment platform. Mazda-specific OEM training is fully integrated into the curriculum, equipping students with the expertise needed to pursue Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications and careers as Mazda-Certified Technicians. Students have the ability to graduate as Master ASE Certified Technicians by completing all eight ASE certifications. In addition to technical training, students are encouraged to take one evening course per week toward earning an Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree in Automotive Technology.

Before being admitted to the program, prospective students must contact the program instructor to receive assistance with securing employment at a participating local dealership. For more information, please contact Program Instructor Edgard Solis at 954.200.0574 or Sheridan Technical College’s West Campus at 754.321.3900.
