Start Your Florida Real Estate Pre-License Education
Sheridan Technical College’s Real Estate Sales Associate Pre-License course helps students begin the education requirement for becoming a licensed real estate sales associate in Florida. The Florida Real Estate Commission requires prospective real estate sales associates to complete FREC Course 1, commonly known as the 63-hour Sales Associate Pre-License course. Sheridan’s course includes 60 hours of classroom instruction and a 3-hour window for the end-of-course exam.

Students are introduced to core real estate topics that support licensing preparation and help explain how real estate transactions work, including:
- Fair housing rules
- Property conveyance types
- Property rights and estates
- Titles and deeds
- Fiduciary duties
- Taxes
- Appraisal
- Real estate calculations
- Forms of ownership
